Coconut Oil +Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Mask

I don’t use heat on my hair. No blow dryer. No straighter. No curling iron. Nada. But the ends of my hair always get dry, sad, and just feel like… twiggy. Sometimes the individual strands look wiry too, like zig-zagging in weird directions. Why, hair? Why? And it’s not that they’re all broken or fraying, because most of it doesn’t look “dead” with split ends. And I’ve never colored my hair, so it’s like… pretty healthy imo? Just so dry and sad. So I’ve been looking for natural ways to make my hair happy again.

I’ve watched a lot of YouTube videos and read a few hair care blogs online. Since this idea isn’t that original, I’m not gonna bother crediting where I got this info from. You can probs find it on WikiHow, tbh.

Ingredients
– 2 Tbsp coconut oil, melted
– 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar

Methods
I melted the coconut oil in the microwave for a few seconds and decanted 2 Tbsp that way. Then I mixed these things together and applied them to my hair using my hands, since I ain’t got no brush and I’m not spending money on that trash. I started at the ends of my hair, because they are most sad, and incorporated this mixture into all of my hair. Honestly, I’m surprised that 3 Tbsp of liquid was gonna be enough for me, but it was.

The time you should let your hair sit seems to vary between sources. Some say 15-20 min. Some say you can leave it in for 1 h or overnight if your hair is extra damaged or sad. I think I’ll leave it in for a few hours at least.

Thoughts
This was so difficult to wash out! One website said to wash it out with “natural shampoo”, but I don’t have that. Lemme tell you, washing it out with just water will get you nowhere, and conditioner doesn’t help either. I had to wash it twice. Hopefully, once its all out, I’ll be able to tell if this did anything.
